About the Noach video
In this week's parshah, Noach, we learn from the teachings of the Ba’al Shem Tov that cultivating pleasure in Torah and prayer can help us create spiritual intimacy with the Divine.
We’ll embody this theme in our flow, creating and exploring pleasure with movement, breath, and mindfulness.
Accessible class, open to all. No prior experience necessary. Join the recording below…

Parshat Noach Hineni Yoga Flow
The Sefirah of the Parshah
The kabbalistic meaning of the weekly portion
From Rabbi Shlomo Barya Schachter:
Among the core teachings I received from my father, Reb Zalman Schachter-Shalomi z”l, was that the Torah itself shares the same anatomical structure as the human being and the year.
This anatomy is expressed through the Sefirot — specifically, the forty-nine combinations of the seven lower Sefirot that we attune to while counting the Omer.
By pairing certain traditionally conjoined parshiot, the Torah’s weekly portions can likewise be mapped onto these forty-nine Sefirotic combinations: beginning with Bereishit as Chesed sheb’Chesed and culminating with Zot HaBrachah as Malchut sheb’Malchut.
In this weekly series, we will briefly explore these correspondences and consider how each parshah illuminates its corresponding Sefirah.
In this second video, I discuss the deeper kabbalistic meaning of the second portion of the Torah - Noach - and its correlation to the quality of Gevurah shebeChesed - Differentiation within Loving Oneness.
